The Milwaukee Bucks aim to shut down Giannis Antetokounmpo for the rest of the season amid his latest injury and dwindling playoff hopes. However, the two-time NBA MVP is determined to play, according to sources from ESPN's Shams Charania. Antetokounmpo is sidelined with a left knee injury, following a hyperextension and bone bruise sustained during a dunk against the Indiana Pacers. He has missed 32 games this season, the most in his career, and the Bucks are 11-21 without him. Milwaukee currently sits in 11th place in the Eastern Conference, 6½ games behind the Charlotte Hornets for the final play-in spot. While the Bucks have held discussions about his future, Antetokounmpo insists he wants to return, provided he isn't risking further injury. No timeline for his return has been announced.
