The 2026 TF35 Trophy season launches this weekend with the Grand Prix de Nyon from May 15-17 at the Société Nautique de Nyon. This event promises to kick off an exciting season of high-stakes racing.

Fans can expect five races each day, starting Friday morning with crews gathering at 10am for their first briefing. The opening race is set for 11:30am, just off the stunning shores of Nyon. However, the weather may challenge competitors, as cool temperatures between 6°C and 13°C and unstable winds are predicted. Nicolas Charbonnier, tactician for X-WING, notes the stark contrast to their ideal pre-season training conditions. He emphasizes the boats' adaptability to light winds, hinting at an unpredictable race environment.

Last year's Grand Prix de Nyon showcased fierce competition with five different winners across six races, highlighting the closely matched fleet. Ylliam 17 took the title, edging out Ylliam XII - Comptoir Immobilier and Sails of Change 8. This year, all seven teams come prepared after rigorous training, setting the stage for another thrilling battle on Lake Geneva.

Fans can follow the action live through a new tracking app and catch race replays online. Tune in Friday at 11:30am for the season opener!
