Jaime Weston is named the first commissioner of Major League Volleyball, the league announced Monday. MLV, in its third year, is one of two U.S. women's professional volleyball leagues. Formerly the Pro Volleyball Federation, MLV operates teams in eight cities and aims to expand to ten by 2027. Weston, chief commercial officer of USA Volleyball since December 2024, directs brand and commercial strategy ahead of the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. Her prior roles include senior vice president of marketing for the National Football League and executive vice president of global consumer marketing for Universal Music Group. A volleyball letterwinner at Georgia Tech in 1990, Weston emphasizes the sport's unique identity. "This is volleyball's time," she states. MLV also announces Jen Spicher will transition from president to executive vice president, volleyball operations.
