Roberto De Zerbi eyes former Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as a potential summer signing for Tottenham. European football expert Andy Brassell identifies Aubameyang as a viable short-term solution to boost Spurs’ goal tally. De Zerbi recently signed a five-year contract to lead Tottenham after interim coach Igor Tudor departed by mutual consent. Currently, Spurs sit just one point above the relegation zone, facing a challenging final seven matches to secure Premier League status.
Brassell also highlights other targets to enhance the squad. Goalkeeper Geronimo Rulli, who previously worked with De Zerbi at Marseille, is considered a top option to replace Guglielmo Vicario. Brassell praises Rulli's skills, stating, “He’s a terrific goalkeeper... he’s way better with his feet and a better shot stopper than Vicario.”
In defense, Micky Van de Ven, Destiny Udogie, and Pedro Porro remain key players in Brassell’s projected lineup. He suggests on-loan Luka Vuskovic could take the place of Cristian Romero. In midfield, he includes Lucas Bergvall and proposes AC Milan star Adrien Rabiot as a strong addition, citing his impressive development. Brassell's bold call for Aubameyang as a left winger emphasizes the need for immediate impact as Tottenham rebuilds.
