Chelsea solidifies its summer transfer strategy with multiple signings and eyes Barcelona's Jules Kounde. Fabrizio Romano confirms that the club has reached an agreement for new talent, while actively pursuing the French defender.
Despite facing financial challenges, including a record pre-tax loss in Premier League history, Chelsea continues to strengthen its squad. They currently rank third in net spend but have been successful in player sales, which will be crucial moving forward.
Recent additions include Geovany Quenda, Dastan Satpaev, Denner, and Emmanuel Emegha. Additionally, Valentin Barco from Strasbourg is set to join, with personal terms already agreed. Barco has impressed at Strasbourg with seven goal involvements in 39 appearances. Romano states, “Valentin Barco has said yes to Chelsea move; it’s all set on player side.”
Chelsea also plans an aggressive pursuit of Kounde, who has been a long-term target after previous interest in 2021. With Barcelona reportedly valuing him at £65-70 million, Chelsea remains keen, especially as Liverpool and Man City monitor his situation. The club aims to blend young talent with experienced players as they look to revamp their roster this summer.
