Reports indicate that key players Micky van de Ven, Cristian Romero, and James Maddison are excited about De Zerbi's appointment, believing it gives the club the best chance at survival this season. The deal is close to being finalized, with only a few details remaining, according to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio.
Before this agreement, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano mentioned two alternatives: Marco Silva, who is not leaving Fulham, and Mauricio Pochettino, whose situation is complicated due to commitments with the United States national team. However, De Zerbi has emerged as the top choice for Tottenham’s leadership.
