Benfica's appeal is rejected. Gianluca Prestianni will not play against Real Madrid in the Champions League this Wednesday night at 9 PM. UEFA's appeals committee confirms the provisional suspension of the young Argentine, following potentially racist insults during the first leg. Benfica had hoped for a stay of execution, but the disciplinary committee's decision stands. Prestianni, suspected of calling Vinicius "mono," will therefore miss this crucial second leg. A decision on the final sanction will be made later. The player faces at least a 10-match suspension.
