Rassie Erasmus announces a 21-man squad for the Springboks' virtual alignment camp, featuring two uncapped players: Carlü Sadie and JJ van der Mescht. Herschel Jantjies and Lukhanyo Am return to the fold, joining 16 World Cup winners. The camp prepares the Boks for a demanding 2026 Test season, facing England, Scotland, and Wales in July, the All Blacks in August, and Italy, France, and Ireland in November. Standalone Tests against Argentina and Australia are also on the agenda. Erasmus emphasizes the importance of getting players aligned with the team’s expectations and game strategy. Other notable inclusions are World Cup champions Pieter-Steph du Toit, Malcolm Marx, and Cheslin Kolbe. The camp follows an earlier in-person session with 49 players from South Africa, now expanding to include those overseas.
