Tudor Team Alinghi reveals its crew lineup for the opening regatta of the 38th America’s Cup, marking a significant step in their campaign. This announcement sheds light on their preparations and ambitions as they gear up for fierce competition.
The Swiss team, which expanded from seven to around 50 members since confirming its participation in December 2025, has been quietly ramping up its efforts in Barcelona. They are currently testing various sailor configurations for their AC40, a smaller vessel compared to the AC75 used in previous races.
Leading the Sardinia crew is Olympic champion Paul Goodison (GBR), serving as Skipper and Helmsman. He is joined by a mix of seasoned sailors and emerging talents, reflecting the team's strategy to blend experience with youth. Team Director Technical & Sailing, Dave Endean, emphasizes the commitment to hard work and catching up with the competition after only a week of sailing together. Goodison expresses confidence in the crew's rapid bonding, eager to test their skills against other teams.
After completing their training in Barcelona, Tudor Team Alinghi will head to Sardinia for final preparations ahead of the preliminary regatta in Cagliari, set to take place in mid-May.
