Emirates Team New Zealand completes their second training session in Auckland under optimal sailing conditions. This marks the second of their 45 permitted sailing days. All crew members rotate except for Andy Maloney, who remains on board throughout. The session wraps up at 1822hrs.
ETNZ starts their day with a light breeze of 3-5 knots from the southwest, steadily building to 13-14 knots. They stick with the same jib all day, showcasing consistent maneuvers. Despite declaring a new J5-1 sail, they opt not to use it. Minimal adjustments are made to the boat, focusing only on crew swaps and refreshments.
Crew members for the day include Jake Pye, Jo Aleh, Seb Menzies, Iain Jensen, Nathan Outteridge, and Josh Armit. The team departs the dock at 12:00, arriving off Takapuna Beach by 12:18. They maintain 100% flight time while maneuvering expertly in the inner bay.
