Explore Racing dominates Leg 2 of the Doyle Sails Two Handed Round North Island Race, finishing first around midday Thursday. The race, covering 476 nautical miles from Mongonui to Waikawa, saw several boats cross the line. Motor Boat III finishes second at 1448hrs, followed closely by High 5 and Kick Elliott 1050 Yachting, both at 1645hrs. Kick Elliott, a Division 3 competitor, surpasses half of the Division 1 fleet, clinching a strong position. Perfect Storm takes fifth, while Vixen Racing edges out Focus by just 2.5 minutes in a thrilling battle. All results remain provisional, with a complete list expected Friday. The next Doyle Sails Round North Island Two Handed Race is scheduled for February 28 to March 15, 2026, organized by the Short Handed Sailing Association of New Zealand.
