The 57th edition of La Solitaire du Figaro Paprec features a thrilling and competitive line-up, with 36 sailors ready to battle through three challenging legs. Here’s why this event promises to be a game-changer for offshore sailing.
Starting on May 17, competitors will race from Perros-Guirec in Brittany to Vigo in Spain, then to Pornichet in Loire-Atlantique, and finally to Le Havre in Normandy. The stakes are high as they aim to dethrone Alexis Loison (Groupe REEL), the reigning champion. Notably, former winners Yoann Richomme (Paprec) and Nicolas Lunven (PRB) return, intensifying the competition.
Loïs Berrehar (Banque Populaire) is back for his seventh race, boasting two podium finishes, while Tom Dolan (Kingspan), last year's winner, seeks redemption after last season's injury. Hugo Dhallenne (Skipper Macif 2025) is also a serious contender for the title.
The international representation grows with British sailors Oliver Hill (Ollie Hill Racing) and Ellie Driver (STEM on the Startline), as well as Erica Lush (HOPE) from the United States.
