Quiberon Bay delivers perfect conditions for the second day of the Spi Ouest-France Banque Populaire Grand Ouest regatta, featuring the Open 7.50 and Mach 6.5 classes. Under sunny skies and a 15-knot wind, the race committee successfully runs three races for both classes.

In the Open 7.50 class, Banque Populaire, led by Lois Berrehar, dominates with 9 points, consistently finishing in the top three. Nicolas Groleau’s BT Blue trails with 14 points, while Thomas Normand on Altaïr sits just one point behind. Frédéric Moreau’s All Purpose holds fourth place, setting the stage for a thrilling race for the podium.

The Mach 6.5 class sees Dimension Polyant, helmed by Mathieu Bourdais, maintain its lead with 8 points despite a challenging day. Mathieu Jones on Alternative Sailing is in second place, 12 points back, just ahead of Yann Sassy (L'Ankou). The battle for third remains fierce, with Dimension Polyant II (Jérôme Aubert) and West Paysages (Manu Guédon) in fourth and fifth.

Crews prepare for an exciting Sunday with expected west to northwest winds and potential showers in the morning, giving way to clearer skies and steady winds later. The competition is wide open in both classes.
