Sunshine Sailing claims victory at the Val Hodge Trophy 2026! The Royal Yacht Club of Victoria hosts the much-anticipated female helm race, part of the Port Phillip Women's Championship Series. After a wind cancellation in February, the rescheduled race shines under perfect conditions.
Adams 10 Serious Yahoo, helmed by RMYS's Monica Jones, dominates with Line Honours and first in AMS. RYCV's Prue Standen and SYC's Robyn Ragauskas follow in second and third with Young Lion and BULLet, respectively.
In ORC, Sue Burke's SS Defiance 30 leads, with BULLet and Jutson 950 Jacobina rounding out the podium.
The highlight? Adams 10.6 "Sunshine," helmed by Tatum Mackey and Ailsa Pender, wins PHS after skillfully navigating the fleet. RYCV celebrates a successful weekend, culminating in a sellout International Women's Day luncheon. The next PPWCS race is set for April 19 at RMYS.
