Eighteen skippers hit the water for an exhilarating Round 2 of the IOM Summer Series at Lincoln Radio Sailing Club. This event showcases the escalating competition and highlights the club's vibrant community.
The racing kicked off under perfect conditions, with a steady North West breeze and plenty of sunshine. Rob W and Darin B expertly set a challenging course, featuring a long dog leg that kept competitors on their toes. The club proudly unveiled its new flag, which will fly at the upcoming World Championships in May, supporting our two qualified skippers.
Micky Boy's new Alioth dominated the first race, leading from start to finish, while Pete W secured second with his Venti. Tracy B made an impressive third with her Brit Pop, showcasing the fierce competition among the 18 skippers. In the second race, Darin found his rhythm, taking the lead alongside Tim H, both showing exceptional skill.
Paul K surged to victory in race three, edging out Rob W and Tim H in a thrilling finish. Other notable performances came from Sam P, Colin H, and Richard J, each improving their standings. With Darin claiming four wins from seven races, the series promises to intensify, making it a must-watch for I.O.M racing enthusiasts.
