Tilakkhana II claims Line Honours in the La Larga offshore race after nearly 30 hours of intense sailing. This victory at Sandberg PalmaVela, organized by the Real Club Náutico de Palma, showcases the yacht's dominance on the 300-nautical-mile course around the Balearic Islands.

The Wallycento, owned and skippered by Pascale Decaux and featuring Olympic champion Támara Echegoyen, crossed the finish line at 18:57, clocking a total time of 29 hours, 52 minutes, and 31 seconds. The race conditions exceeded expectations, allowing Tilakkhana II to sail at impressive speeds of 10-11 knots for much of the journey.

Liberty, helmed by Bouwe Bekking, remains a formidable competitor, trailing approximately 15 miles behind after rounding Cabo Salinas. Manu Fraga, Director of the RCNP, noted that stronger-than-forecast winds have benefited larger boats, enabling them to finish significantly ahead of predictions.

Aproperties Blue Carbon, led by Toni Guiu, is also nearing the finish line in the ORC 0 category, while the rest of the fleet, including the Mini 6.50 boats, progresses toward Palma. The final results will be determined once all boats complete the race and corrected times are calculated. Follow the live updates at www.palmavela.com.
