Anthony Joshua’s training sessions with Oleksandr Usyk are proving to be a game-changer for his comeback. This collaboration comes just months after a tragic incident that took the lives of two of Joshua's close friends.
Joshua, preparing for a return to the ring, is expected to be cleared for full training soon, thanks in part to his time spent with Usyk in Spain. Promoter Eddie Hearn witnessed the intense atmosphere at Usyk’s training camp in Gandia, where he saw Joshua pushing himself to the limit under Usyk’s encouragement. Hearn described it as "unbelievable," highlighting the significance of working with the pound-for-pound No. 1 boxer.
Joshua’s connection with Usyk’s team has been pivotal in his recovery, providing both physical training and emotional support. Usyk’s sons have also formed a bond with Joshua, enjoying time together off the ring.
Usyk believes in Joshua's potential, stating, "He's a machine," and emphasizes the importance of support for the British heavyweight. As they train together, both boxers are not just honing their skills but also reinforcing each other's confidence ahead of what could be a monumental showdown in the future.
