Ginia Caluori and Cat Ferguson make waves in their gravel debuts at The Traka 100, while Matyáš Kopecký clinches victory in a thrilling men's sprint. This race marks the final event leading up to the 2026 European gravel championship in Girona, and the results reveal a fierce competition.
Matyáš Kopecký (Unibet Rose Rockets) secures the win after a nail-biting five-rider finish, crossing the line just one second ahead of Geoffrey Soupe, who retired from professional road racing last year. Kopecký's time is three hours, one minute, and nine seconds. Eduardo Talavera Fernandez claims third, while Marc Romero and Nicholas Roche complete the top five, all within four seconds of the leader.
In the women's category, Caluori (NEXETIS) dominates, breaking away 40 kilometers in and finishing four minutes and 16 seconds ahead of Ferguson (Movistar). Both riders impress in their first gravel race, with Caluori clocking in at three hours and 11 minutes. Sofia Rodriguez Revert and Yeal Prenger follow in third and fourth, respectively.
Ferguson notes the challenge and excitement of the race, expressing her hope to return next year. The results underscore the growing competitiveness and appeal of gravel racing in Europe.
