Just 12 minutes into the race, Ray soloed ahead, lapping the field and teaming up with her teammate Elizabeth Harden to maintain a commanding lead. Tess Edwards from Caldera Medical x Aurea Racing sprinted to second, while Elizabeth Castillo of One Hart Racing-Nashville Local Cycling claimed third, ahead of Claire Abrey from Team Winston Salem-Flow.
In the men's division, Marcos Mendez of Foundation Cycling New York clinched his second win in three races, outpacing a breakaway group that included Leonel Rodriguez of MC Cycling Team in second, and Julien Ruhe from Kelly Benefits in third. Mendez's win at LaGrange follows his victory at the Sunny King Criterium, solidifying his position in the series.
Rodriguez now leads the elite men's standings, followed by Preston Eye of Clif Family Drifters. The competition heats up as the series progresses, showcasing thrilling performances from both men and women.
