Hayling Island Sailing Club opens its doors to the community on May 4th for a free Open Day that promises adventure on the water. This event welcomes all ages and skill levels, allowing visitors to dive into the world of sailing and watersports in a friendly, safe environment.
Attendees can engage with club members, tour the clubhouse, and participate in taster sailing or RIB sessions. Juniors will enjoy a variety of fun activities designed just for them. As the day wraps up, guests can savor complimentary tea and cake while taking in breathtaking sea views from the clubhouse balcony. The club bar will also be open for a selection of drinks.
Chris Rainbow, General Manager, emphasizes the event's purpose: “Our Open Day is a great opportunity for people to see what getting on the water at HISC is really like.” This year introduces live demonstrations for windsurfing and winging, offering enthusiasts a chance to connect and launch their own equipment.
With a strong reputation for accessible sailing, Hayling Island Sailing Club aims to inspire the local community to explore life on the water. For more details, visit www.hisc.co.uk or check their social media.
