Hayling Island Sailing Club and Magic Marine join forces for the 2026 Optimist Open Meeting on May 16-17. This event welcomes Optimist sailors from all over the country, featuring racing across three fleets tailored to various experience levels. Competitors enjoy not just thrilling races but also a Saturday BBQ, included in the entry fee. Additional BBQ tickets are available for purchase. Theo Galyer, Sailing Supervisor at HISC, promises excitement and quality racing, stating, "We are looking forward to welcoming the Optimists to HISC in May!"
