Ferrari unveils the striking livery of its 100-foot flying ocean monohull, Hypersail, during Milan Design Week. This innovative design marks a significant leap in ocean sailing, showcasing a perfect blend of aerodynamics and style.

What follows reveals the groundbreaking collaboration behind this project that could reshape the future of nautical design.

The Hypersail project emerges from a fusion of diverse expertise, led by the Ferrari Tech Team under Matteo Lanzavecchia and Marco Guglielmo Ribigini, alongside the Ferrari Design Studio led by Flavio Manzoni and naval architect Guillaume Verdier. Their collective aim is to infuse the essence of Ferrari’s automotive innovation into the maritime realm, creating a vessel where performance dictates beauty.

Every aspect of Hypersail's design responds directly to functionality, ensuring maximum efficiency while embodying elegance. The vessel's silhouette mirrors the iconic proportions of the Ferrari Monza SP1/SP2, while the deck’s graphics pay homage to the Le Mans-winning Hypercar 499P. Notably, integrated solar panels enhance sustainability and functionality, designed for optimal exposure and usability during navigation.

Flavio Manzoni describes Hypersail as a unique challenge that pushes the boundaries of Ferrari's design philosophy, expanding their creative horizons beyond traditional automotive projects.
