Hosted by the Nyländska Jaktklubben (NJK) on Blekholmen island, the championship will feature world-class racing amidst the stunning backdrop of Helsinki’s archipelago. Competitors will sail challenging courses, navigating past iconic landmarks like the UNESCO-listed Suomenlinna Sea Fortress. The racing kicks off with a practice race on June 28, followed by five days of competition, including up to eight races, with a discard system to reward consistency.
Beyond the races, NJK offers a vibrant social program, including an Opening Ceremony at Helsinki City Hall and a lively Crew Party. The Downtown Race Village, open daily, features classic yacht demonstrations, hands-on activities, and live race broadcasts on a giant screen. As evening falls, the Race Village transforms into an open-air cinema, showcasing maritime-themed films. This event is a must-see for sailing enthusiasts and newcomers alike.
