Mikko Rantanen is sidelined for at least two weeks due to a lower-body injury sustained during the Olympics. Dallas Stars coach Glen Gulutzan confirms the injury will keep their leading scorer out for some time, stating, "It won't be one or two games." Rantanen got hurt in Finland's Olympic semifinal loss to Canada and missed the bronze medal game against Slovakia. The Stars placed him on the injured list after a consultation with team doctors. Rantanen, in his first year of a $96 million extension, has 69 points this season, including 20 goals and 49 assists. The Stars prepare to face Seattle on Wednesday and Nashville on Saturday, holding 25 regular-season games until April 15. Jake Oettinger, a backup goalie for the U.S. gold medal team, may rejoin practice but won't start against the Kraken.
