St. Croix is set to host the prestigious 55th Annual International Sunfish Class Association (ISCA) World Championships from November 4-14, 2026. This event will attract top sailors from around the globe, highlighting the U.S. Virgin Islands as a premier sailing destination.

The ISCA World Championships are recognized as the pinnacle of one-design sailing, featuring elite competitors across Youth, Women, Masters, and Open divisions. The Sunfish, an iconic sailing vessel acknowledged by World Sailing, is one of the most popular boats in the world, making this competition a significant draw for sailing enthusiasts.

Leading up to the championships, a Meet & Greet for local businesses and community partners is scheduled for May 13 from 5:00-7:00 PM at the historic Hotel Comanche. This event offers a chance to engage with event organizers and explore advertising opportunities in the official ISCA World Championship book, which will be distributed to sailors and international guests.

Further details, including venue information, registration timelines, and community involvement options, will be revealed as planning progresses. Stay tuned for updates and more information at www.sunfishclass.org.
