The final day of the 29er EuroCup in Malcesine showcased Lake Garda’s unpredictable winds, providing a thrilling conclusion to the event. Here’s why the outcomes of these races could reshape the competitive landscape for the season ahead.

The day kicked off early at 08:30, allowing sailors to harness the northerly Peler wind, resulting in two challenging races. As conditions shifted, the fleet took a brief break under AP over H, anticipating the arrival of the southerly Ora. This pause proved vital for sailors to regroup before the final showdown.

By 13:00, the Ora provided perfect racing conditions, leading to intense battles in both Gold and Silver fleets. Ultimately, Henric Wigforss and William Drakenberg (SWE) clinched overall victory, while Lukas Wagner and Valentin Ziegler (GER) took second, and Alexandre Mostini and Raphaël Allain (FRA) finished third.

In the Mixed category, Emilia Salvatore and Pietro Rizzi (ITA) triumphed, finishing fourth overall. Bianca Marchesini and Lucia Finato (ITA) led the Women's category, with Mor Csekovszky and Martin Zarandy (HUN) topping the Over 18 category.

The event highlighted young talent, awarding the Youngest Female Team to Lahari Kommaravelly and Eswa Suragani (IND) and recognizing the importance of environmental initiatives throughout the competition.
