Toyota appoints Jonne Halttunen as project manager for its entry into the American Rally Association (ARA) National Championship. Halttunen, former co-driver to Kalle Rovanpera, steps into this role as Toyota prepares to launch the GR Corolla RC2 rally car. Seth Quintero and co-driver Topi Luhtinen will pilot the new vehicle. Halttunen's transition comes after Rovanpera's shift to single-seater racing, putting his co-driver career on pause. Together, they claimed back-to-back WRC titles in 2022 and 2023, securing 18 WRC wins. Halttunen aims to leverage his WRC experience to enhance the ARA project, beginning with the 100 Acre Wood Rally on March 13-14. Toyota will skip the Sno*Drift Rally this weekend. Rovanpera is currently prepping for his Super Formula debut at Motegi on April 4.
