JANGADA RACING's arrival in Lorient marks the thrilling conclusion of the GLOBE40's second edition. This stage of the round-the-world race has shattered boundaries in the sailing world, showcasing fierce competition and record-breaking performances.

The latest Class40s have successfully completed their circumnavigation, with the 24-hour world speed record for Class40s being set at an astonishing 459 miles. Meanwhile, FREE DOM, based in Réunion, achieved a new 24-hour speed record for classic Class40s at 402 miles. The competition was fierce, with only 2 points separating the top two overall, and a mere 0.5 points between WHISKEY JACK and JANGADA RACING.

On April 25th, the final act unfolded with a heartfelt gathering of nearly 200 attendees, which included skippers, supporters, and organizers. The day featured screenings, an emotional awards ceremony, and a celebration of camaraderie that defined the past eight months.

Looking ahead, the GLOBE40 will embark on its third edition in autumn 2028/spring 2029, with nearly ten projects already in the works. The anticipated media report will reveal impressive statistics, including over 20 million views across social media. Congratulations to overall winner CREDIT MUTUEL, led by Ian Lipinski, and runner-up BELGIUM OCEAN RACING - CURIUM, helmed by Jonas Gerckens!
